Lost in the Woods

In my Art & Experiance class we were assigned to take a photograph which held meaning. This photograph I took of myself,by using the self-timer setting, is titled Lost in the Woods. The indivdual sitting in the chair represents the death of the physical self. I incorporate the idea of death by holding a bundle of dried up flowers and by wearing the hide of a dead coyote face on top of my head. The setting takes place in the woods to represent the idea of how over time an indivdual’s existence becomes forgotten or Lost. The light represents the eternal spirit and the fact that the indivduals physical self indeed had at one time existed. It has a blurred effect, which I would normally be disappointed with, but I think it adds to the idea.
